Lincolnshire League minutes of meeting held 7.30pm at Rustons social club Thursday 19th May

A copy of the rules and cup rules were circulated.
Meeting opened with Phil thanking everyone for coming and explaining that following an earlier meeting we needed to sort out a few things that had come to the attention of the committee. This included following the rules, Finals and Presentation day, AGM and going forward to next year.
It was agreed that the main rules were on the website but not the cup rules and that probably most teams due to not knowing would have broken the rules over the last few seasons. After discussion it was decided that nothing could be done about the past and rules would be adhered to in the future. The FULL rules will be updated on the website after the AGM when any rule amendments would take place. The main points that look to be favoured are having results cards back, having a designated night for Lincs league, final league format to be confirmed at the AGM.
It was suggested that Finals should be delayed until start of next season but after several raised points it was decided that as it included the presentation of league trophies it should happen soon as trophies were already purchased and would be wasted. The Date was set as Sunday 12th June at Metheringham. (Meg have since confirmed this is OK) Teams that should play are Kesteven Cup Eastgate V Lindum Alford Cup Boston v Eastgate Parker Cup Rustons v Boston Matches would start at 12pm
County championships are likely to be moved to the beginning on the season, once England squash have set the calendar we would use the recommended date as this would not clash with any other tournaments or events. Date to be confirmed. Venue to be decided, any club wishing to host should make themselves known to the committee, and advise advantages of their venue. a venue would then be selected.
AGM will take place on Wednesday 15th June 7.30pm at Rustons – Agenda will be on the website and any items to be added should be E-mailed to Phil or Steve
Any other business Could more teams be included such at Retford, Newark, Worksop - we could try to ask for interest Racketball – we should be keen to start to introduce Racketball as a county league – it would be considered. Juniors – further discussion need to take place AGM or another date. Meeting closed 8.50pm |
